Before building out the entire campaign, the client asked us to find a hero image that would be used as the lock screen image across Microsoft devices (see image above). Our second task was to find images that would be used for the campaign’s social media posts, banners, and other web assets. After doing some digging around through Microsoft’s extensive photo library, me and another designer were able to find images that fit within the following five categories: General, Games, Apps, Music, and Movies & Shows. The below photos were the final selects that the client decided to move forward with.
